Capital Regional District The Capital Regional District serves the citizens by providing and co-ordinating selected high quality local, regional and municipal services for the citizens of the municipalities and electoral areas of the Capital Region. These services are provided because they clearly cannot be readily undertaken by municipalities acting individually for reasons of economy, effectiveness, practicality and uniformity.
