Settling into your new home is an exciting time. You have a new neighbourhood, a new city to get used to. All that change can be hard to handle, especially if you have children who are missing their old friends. So do some exploring, meet some of the neighbours - and soon you'll start feeling comfortable in your new neighbourhood. The public library system is more than just a place to borrow books. It’s a centre of activity for you to explore. A visit to the library will reveal a lot about your new community. Community centres are a great place to meet new people. They have programs for your kids and yourself and helps you stay in touch with all aspects of your new neighbourhood. Get to know your local libraries, community centres and schools.
