The Friendship Centre has a proud history. It began and continues to be a benefactor of the estate of James Mason (1856-1916). Mason otherwise known as Skookum Jim, a Tagish Kwan man, of the DAKL'AWEIDI Clan, was one of the co-discoverers of gold in the Klondike in 1896.
The Inuvialuit of the Western Arctic
