Water Works
All aspects of water production, transmission and distribution, wastewater collection and treatment, and storm water collection, transmission and treatment, are the responsibility of Water and Wastewater Services. Just a few of these facilities include: four water treatment plants, 487 km of trunk watermains, 5,347 km of distribution watermains, 470,000 water service connections, four wastewater treatment plants, and 463,300 sewer service connections.
Sewers and Drains
The city is responsible for installing and maintaining its sanitary and combined sewer system from the connection to your property to the sewage treatment plant (STP)/ Water Pollution Control Plant (WPCP) and its outfall to the lake or the Don River.
