Brighter Futures is a Health Canada program that works with the Inuit of Nunavut. Health Insurance Visitors, students, and transient and temporary workers from elsewhere in
Canada aren't eligible to enroll in the NWT Health Care Plan (which is expected to be carried over for Nunavut, at least initially).
Your provincial or Yukon health plan will cover most medical costs incurred in Nunavut.
If you have been billed personally for health services, you should keep the documentation and seek reimbursement
from your provincial or Yukon health careplan within six months.
Visitors not covered by the NWT Health Care Plan must pay up front for services.
